LEAD PASTOR & FIRST LADY

Dr. Christopher J. Respass accepted Jesus at the age of 18 and accepted his call to ministry six years later at St. James Missionary Baptist Church in Austin, Texas under the leadership of Dr. B. W. McClendon, Sr.

After serving five years as a youth pastor, Pastor Respass sensed the call to plant a new fellowship. In September 2002 Pastor Respass founded Antioch Christian Fellowship, a non-denominational, multicultural, bible-believing, Christian Church where their mission is to Evangelize the Lost, Disciple the Saved and Serve the Lord with the specific to Go: reach the forgotten, Grow: make and multiply disciples, Sow: train pastors and leaders, and Overflow: planting churches that multiply and partner with others.

God continues to bless the ministry and is growing the congregation in the knowledge of the Lord and His awesome word.  Pastor Respass has the honor of being Charmaine’s husband and been blessed with three children, all of whom confess Jesus as their Lord and Savior.

Lady Charmaine Respass is a shining example of faith, dedication, and service to both her community and her church. Her lifelong commitment to her faith in Jesus Christ began at a young age, and it has been the cornerstone of her remarkable journey.

Her spiritual journey continued to evolve when she rededicated her life to Christ at St. James Missionary Baptist Church in Austin, Texas, under the guidance of the esteemed Dr. B.W. McClendon, Sr. During her time there, Charmaine actively engaged in various ministries, demonstrating her unwavering dedication to serving others and deepening her spiritual understanding.

Upon her relocation to Lewisville, Texas, Charmaine’s commitment to ministry remained steadfast. Alongside her husband, Chris Respass, she played a vital role in the youth ministry, nurturing and guiding the next generation. In 2002, together with Chris, she founded Antioch Christian Fellowship in Corinth, Texas, where she now serves as the Executive Director. This endeavor reflects her exceptional leadership and commitment to creating a welcoming and spiritually enriching environment.

Charmaine’s love for old sitcoms is just one facet of her vibrant personality, which shines even brighter in the face of adversity. Her personal journey, marked by resilience and faith, has equipped her to minister to broken youth and women, providing them with hope and healing.

Her academic accomplishments are equally impressive, with a Master of Arts in Theological Studies from Liberty University in 2011 and a Bachelor of Science in Management & Ethics from Dallas Christian College in 2000. These credentials, along with her dedication to education, have empowered her to equip her church in areas such as administration, church leadership, and church software management. She also joyfully co-teaches alongside her favorite pastor, sharing her wisdom and faith with the congregation.

In her free time, Charmaine extends her compassion further by facilitating workshops on Mental Illness and Suicide Prevention for teenagers and counseling women struggling with depression. Her heart for healing and supporting those in need knows no bounds.

However, Charmaine’s greatest source of pride and joy is her family. She and her husband, Lead Pastor Chris Respass, have celebrated 27 years of marriage, and their union has been blessed with three adult children, all of whom share her profound faith in Jesus Christ. Their family stands as a testament to the power of love, faith, and the bonds of a shared spiritual journey.
